A woman who was crushed by a fallen log at a traffic light near the Bendahara junction, Jalan Gua Musang-Kuala Krai here on Tuesday, is reported to be in a stable condition.
The victim’s brother Mohamad Azwa Kamarulzaman, 28, said his sister Siti Norelyana, 21, who is currently under close observation by staff at the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital in Kota Bharu, is showing signs of improvement.
‘Alhamdulillah, my sister is stable. The doctor has said that there is a chance for her to make a recovery,’ he said on TikTok yesterday.
“Her internal organs are fine…Thanking Allah for looking after her.’
Earlier, Siti Norelyana was nearly killed when a log from an overturned lorry struck her at the Bendahara traffc light junction here.
Gua Musang district police chief Supt Sik Choon Foo said the accident was caused by the lorry’s turn-table snapping when it made a turn at the intersection.
Sik also confirmed that the lorry driver involved did not have a driving licence.
