Water Cut For 60,000 Seremban Consumers, Repairs To Burst Pipe At 80 Pct


SEREMBAN, Almost 60,000 consumers have experienced water supply disruption due to repairs following a burst pipe in front of the Petronas station in Jalan Jelebu here since yesterday.

Syarikat Air Negeri Sembilan Sdn Bhd (SAINS) in a statement said that it was still actively carrying out repairs following the unforeseen incident.

‘As of now, the work of extracting the remaining water in the pipes, digging work and sheet pile installation is fully completed while repair work has reached 80 per cent.

‘To reduce the impact of disruption to customers in the affected areas, SAINS has sent water tankers to the affected areas besides placing static tanks,” according to the statement here today.

SAINS said customers could refer to its Customer Service Centre Facebook page for the latest information, as well as by contacting the toll-free line 1-300-88-6982 or emailing aduan@sainswater.com for any assistance.

Yesterday, SAINS informed that there was a water supply disruption following the emergency repair work of
a broken pipe in front of the Petronas station in Jalan Jelebu.

SAINS said that among the areas experiencing water supply disruptions include all areas of Seremban 2, S2 Height, Taman Rasah Kemayan, Taman Bukit Kepayang, Taman Mantau Indah 1, Taman Mantau Indah 2, Taman Mantau Indah 3, Jalan Labu Batu 1-9, Jalan Sungai Ujong, Jalan Labu Lama and Taman Permai Kemayan Square, Bandar Seremban, Templer and Lobak.
