Vietnamese military medical university helps Laos successfully perform 15 kidney


A ceremony was held in Vientiane on August 23 to mark the completion of two-year support in kidney transplantation techniques between the Vietnam Military Medical University (VMMU) and the Military Central Hospital 103 of the Lao People’s Army. This partnership has resulted in the successful completion of 15 kidney transplants in Laos as of July 2024. On the occasion, the Lao Party, State, and Government awarded the first-, second- and third-class Labour Order to VMMU units and individuals in recognition of their contributions to the kidney transplantation project.
