UITM DEPUTY VICE-CHANCELLOR NAMED AMONG TOP 50 WOMEN IN EDUCATION


Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Deputy Vice-Chancellor (academic and international) Professor Dr Suzana Sulaiman has been recognised as one of the ‘Top 50 Women in Education’ at the World Education Congress Awards 2024 in Mumbai, India.

In a statement today, the university said that the award is in recognition of Suzana’s expertise in management accounting and her contributions to education at UiTM, in Malaysia, and within international organisations like the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).

‘With over 33 years of teaching experience and an educational background from both the United Kingdom and UiTM, she has made a significant impact on the educational landscape at both national and international levels,’ it said.

The award was presented by Professor Indira J Parikh, the founder president of FLAME University, Pune, and president of Antardisha, a non-governmental organisation dedicated to creating a platform for individuals an
d institutions focusing on transformation, continuous learning, and development.

UiTM stated in the same statement that Suzana’s lecture at the congress underscores the university’s influence and visibility in international academic forums.

‘UiTM’s significant contribution to providing excellent education is widely recognised.

‘The university has always excelled in academics, research, and international partnerships, solidifying its position as a top institution in global education,’ according to the statement.
