Two-goal Kaseh Carlmila Steers Pahang To Women’s Football Bronze Medal

KUCHING, Kaseh Carlmila Az Zahra Mohd Ridhuwan netted a brace to inspire Pahang to a 3-1 win over the Federal Territories (FT) and take home the women’s football bronze medal in the 2024 Malaysia Games (SUKMA) at the State Stadium tonight.

Both teams were equally matched and it was only in the 42nd minute that Pahang managed to break the deadlock through Kaseh Carlmila.

FT came back after the break better organised and managed to restore parity through a Nur Sharmila Zulkifli goal in the 50th minute.

Pahang, however, regrouped and piled on the pressure on the FT defence and the move paid off, with K. Thurgasini heading home a corner kick seven minutes later.

Coach Mohd Zerry Nazeri’s team controlled the game and Kaseh Carlmila made sure of victory with her second – and the team’s third – goal of the night in the 68th minute.

The women’s football final between Selangor and Sabah will be held at the same venue tomorrow.
