TRB adds more toll plazas in 4th batch of RFID-only dry run

The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) on Tuesday announced the fourth batch of the dry-run for contactless toll collection beginning Thursday and the list of participating toll plazas. In a Facebook post, the TRB said all toll plazas that participated in the previous three batches will implement the program in addition to the following: South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) — Filinvest entry — Sta. Rosa northbound entry and exit — Calamba northbound exit Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3 (MMSS3) — Quezon Avenue northbound exit In addition, the Tabang entry and exit and the Angeles entry and exit in at the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) will also enforce RFID-only usage beginning Oct. 1. ‘Non-participating toll plazas shall continue to collect tolls thru ETC (RFID) lanes and cash lanes,’ it said. Motorists with no RFID stickers in participating toll plazas will be directed to stop in a safe place to pay their toll fee and will be persuaded to have an RFID sticker installed. Other toll plazas that were previously included in the dry run are: NAIA Expressway (NAIAX) — All NAIAX toll plazas South Metro Manila Skyway Stage 1 and 2 — Alabang southbound exit — Skyway alpha and bravo — Nichols entry — Nichols exit — C5 entry — C5 exit — Merville toll plaza — Sucat southbound exit — Sucat northbound exit — Bicutan southbound exit — Bicutan northbound exit Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3 — Quezon Ave. northbound entry — Buendia southbound exit — G. Araneta northbound entry — Del Monte Northbound Alpha — Buendia northbound entry — Plaza Dilao toll plaza — Quezon Avenue southbound entry South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) — Calamba Real northbound entry — Calamba Real southbound entry — Canlubang Mayapa southbound entry — Turbina southbound exit — Filinvest exit — Mamplasan northbound — Silangan southbound — Eton southbound — Eton northbound — Cabuyao southbound entry — Alabang southbound — Alabang northbound — Batino southbound exit — Calamba Turbina A northbound entry STAR Tollway — Sto. The TRB said the program’s goal is to ascertain the readiness of tollway operators and motorists alike to cashless systems, with the goal of switching to fully cashless transactions by the end of 2024
