TFC Unhappy With Just One Point Against DATH FC

The Croatian-born handler said the 2-2 draw was not what was expected because the players had performed well.

However, he said individual mistakes caused the Turtles to miss many golden opportunities and had to settle for one point when hosting the game at Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium (SSMZA) in Gong Badak.

“I think we deserved more than one point. We played a good game and led two goals in 45 minutes. We controlled everything but because of one mistake we lost ball impact and our confidence.

“I think we have problem with a set piece and this is not the first time we made mistakes. We made some individual mistakes but overall we played a good game,” he said after the match against DATH FC at SSMZA last night.

However, Steinbruckner said the Turtles will not give up and will correct the mistakes in the matches against Club Thailand and Indonesia in the future to progress to the next stage of the ACC Shopee Cup 2024/25.

In the meantime, DATH FC manager Velizar Emilov Popov said he was satisfied with
getting one point away from home.

According to him, his men have displayed good quality play and great fighting spirit despite trailing 0-2 in the first 45 minutes of the game.

“Unfortunately we conceded two goals in 45 minutes. But I understand it is a tough game against Terengganu. They are a strong team and my players were tired due to the previous game and the long journey to get here (Terengganu),” he said.
