SOLARVEST APPOINTS DANIEL RUPPERT AS CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER


KUALA LUMPUR, Solarvest Holdings Bhd has appointed Daniel Ruppert as chief investment officer effective July 1, 2024.

The regional clean energy expert said Ruppert has over 15 years of experience in investment banking and business management, with a strong track record in the technology, media, and telecommunications, and energy sectors.

‘His expertise will be instrumental in driving Solarvest’s investment strategies and accelerating its growth trajectory,’ it said in a statement today.

Executive director and chief executive officer Davis Chong Chun Shiong said Ruppert will play a major role in accelerating Solarvest’s mission to lead the clean energy transition regionally and to deliver sustainable growth across various verticals.

“With his deep knowledge and active involvement in the sustainable energy industry, he is a valuable addition to our team, and is poised to lead our investment initiatives,” he said.

Ruppert will be responsible for clean energy asset acquisitions, strategic capital allocation
, and portfolio and risk management.

He is currently looking for immediate investment opportunities in various clean energy technologies across ASEAN encompassing solar, wind, hydropower, biogas/biomass, energy storage, energy efficiency and electric vehicle ecosystem.
