Siemens Mobility, DMIA Sign MoU For Digital Transformation Of National Railway System


KUALA LUMPUR, Siemens Mobility Sdn Bhd and Dhaya Maju Infrastructure (Asia) Sdn Bhd (DMIA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in efforts to digitise the railway system in Malaysia and improve the country’s rail services.

The signing ceremony of the MOU was witnessed by the Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Ibni Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, in conjunction with the InnoTrans 2024 event, which is a leading international trade exhibition of transport and railway technology in Berlin.

According to a joint statement from Siemens and DMIA, this collaboration is a transformational initiative that aims to improve the Malaysian rail industry through the application of the latest digitalisation technology.

“This initiative is expected to revolutionise the Malaysian railway system by increasing capacity, reducing delays, improving safety, and reducing operating costs.

“This will lead to more efficient and reliable train services for Malaysians,” the statement said.
