Seven Wooden Bridges In Pos Gob Replaced With Steel Bridges Worth RM1.7 Mln

GUA MUSANG, Seven wooden bridges along the main road used by the Orang Asli community in Pos Gob here as a route to the town have been replaced by steel bridges with an estimated value of RM1.7 million.

Department of Orang Asli Development director-general Datuk Sapiah Mohd Nor said the construction of the bridges was an initiative of the Rural and Regional Development Ministry and the Kesedar Public Works Department (JKR) as the project implementor.

He added that six steel bridges have been completed while the last has yet to be completed due to weather factors and other issues.

‘Insya-Allah, we proposed to appoint Kesedar JKR to build several other bridges in the Orang Asli villages to ease their daily travel and to help them send their children to school,’ she told Bernama recently.
