Segambut Clinic’s New Cabin Will Bring Comfort To Patients

KUALA LUMPUR, The upgrading of an existing roofed garage into a new cabin at the Segambut Health Clinic will allow more patients to be tended to in a comfortable environment.

Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh said the one-storey cabin costing RM150,000 will function as a treatment room, an emergency room and a quarantine area for patients.

‘Patients had to wait by the roadside previously as there was no waiting area and many of them were pregnant women,’ she said after the handover ceremony here today.

She added that existing facilities such as the pantry area for staff was also very limited and there were old facilities that had issues, including leaky roofs.

She related that she had written to the Health Ministry for approval to build a bigger health clinic to cater to the rising number of patients in the area.

The cabin was constructed with allocation from the Segambut MP’s office’s 2023 Mesra Rakyat Projects.
