Santan Introduces Club Zero Campaign To Provide Healthier Choice For AirAsia Passengers

SEPANG, Santan, a Capital A inflight catering and food and beverage subsidiary, launched its ‘Club Zero’ campaign promoting lesser consumption of sugar to AirAsia passengers today.

Its chief executive officer (CEO), Catherine Goh said Club Zero represents the culmination of Santan’s ongoing efforts to align with the evolving health-conscious preferences of consumers and reflects its mission to revolutionise food and drink choices.

‘Club Zero is Santan’s campaign aimed at providing healthier choices by introducing zero-calorie sugar alternatives. Our core message is that healthier options can still taste amazing.

‘We strive to motivate consumers to understand that products with less sugar can still taste great, inspiring confidence and encouraging the adoption of products with less sugar. Our goal is to spark positive changes in their lives,’ said Goh during Club Zero launching ceremony here today, which was also attended by Health Minister Datuk Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad, Deputy Domestic Trade and Cost of Living
Minister Fuziah Salleh and Capital A Bhd CEO Tan Sri Tony Fernandes.

Goh added that the zero-calorie sugar food and beverages on its menu included ZERO watermelon coconut latte, ZERO pistachio coconut latte, ZERO watermelon coconut milk, ZERO original milk tea with konjac pearl as well as ZERO Chocolate Indulgence Cake.

‘Zero-calorie sugar refers to sweeteners that mimic the taste of sugar without the calories associated with traditional sugar. These sweeteners help reduce calorie intake while maintaining sweetness and are popular for weight management and blood sugar control,’ she said.

Meanwhile, Dzulkefly praised Santan for organising the ‘Club Zero’ campaign, which he described as the first innovative campaign of its kind in the country and expressed his hope that more companies would start such initiatives to support the Health Ministry’s mission to address obesity in the country.

Club Zero is a campaign involves cooperation between Santan with Secret Recipe and Tealive.
