Sabah Election Results Early Indicator Of Public Support Towards Unity Gov’t For GE16 – Rafizi

KOTA KINABALU, The results of the 17th Sabah state election can be an early indicator of public support towards the Unity Government for the 16th general election (GE16), PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli said.

He added that the success of developments by the state and federal governments under the Unity Government will be a vital measuring stick for the people in the Sabah elections and GE16.

‘This will give voters a good choice during the upcoming state elections,’ he told reporters after officiating the Sabah PKR state leadership council office here today.

He also said that inter-party cooperation for the Sabah election will be among the matters discussed at the state and federal level.

‘We want to focus on service to the people. While we look and arrange political partnerships, what’s important is PKR as a party must look forward in what we can provide for the people,’ he said, adding that his visit to Sabah was for party matters, specifically to attend the the party’s 25th anniversary cum Sabah-leve
l Keadilan Menang Siri PRU16 (KEMAS16) convention today.

‘The convention is to arrange the branch campaign guidelines and movements nationwide so that it can be carried out more effectively, especially when dealing with voters. In the context of Sabah, it is also suitable as we believe Sabah will hold its state election sooner compared to other states,’ he added.
