QIU CELEBRATES ASPIRING INNOVATORS, CHANGE-MAKERS AT 7TH CONVOCATION CEREMONY

Quest International University (QIU) celebrated the academic success and trailblazing spirit of hundreds of graduating students at its 7th Convocation Ceremony held in Ipoh, last Saturday.

In a statement, QIU said that its council chairman, Datuk Seri Dr Vijay Eswaran and chancellor Tun Arifin Zakaria, presided over the grand ceremony which was held over two sessions.

The students from the graduating classes of 2022 and 2023 received their diplomas, bachelor’s degrees, and postgraduate degrees in six faculties, namely, the Faculty of Business and Management, Faculty of Computing and Engineering, Faculty of Integrated Life Sciences, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, and the Faculty of Pharmacy.

Bachelor of Pharmacy graduate Leo Shann Ling was named valedictorian for her first class grades, natural flair for leadership, and a keen sense of community service unmatched by her peers.

For her outstanding efforts, she received QIU’s top scholastic prize, the Datuk Seri Vijay Eswaran Award 2023.

Meanwhile, Vijay said the convocation marks a significant milestone for their graduates, as they will encounter a dynamic and ever-changing landscape in their future endeavors.

“Success in this era requires not only the ability to adapt, adjust, and accommodate to the changes that come their way but also the determination to thrive amidst uncertainty. The ASEAN region, with its abundant opportunities, serves as a testament to the potential that awaits those who embrace change with an open heart and a resilient spirit,” he said.

Meanwhile, Arifin said the graduates are QIU ambassadors to the world and its legacy and they are expected to dream big and rise to greatness.

“Indeed, they will and they can be rest assured that QIU will always be by their side to help them scale new heights of success and be their safety net should they falter. We are family and that will never change,” he added.
