PM Anwar hopes IAIS M’sia continues leading discourse on issues faced by Muslims globally

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has expressed hope that the International Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies (IAIS) Malaysia will continue leading public discourse on issues faced by the Muslim community at the international level.

He said this in a Facebook post following a meeting with IAIS Malaysia president Dr Maszlee Malik today to discuss the institute’s direction and long-term action plan.

‘Since its inception in 2008, IAIS Malaysia has played crucial roles in promoting positive Muslim identity and fostering unity among Muslims and the ummah globally.

‘Most importantly, IAIS Malaysia has contributed to the country’s soft diplomacy development and implemented engagement sessions through dialogues between countries, particularly among Muslim countries,’ he said, adding that this aligns with the aspirations of the MADANI approach and the nation’s policies.
