PERAK HOPE IMPORT STRIKER BEEFS UP FRONT LINE AFTER PRE-SEASON FRIENDLY LOSS

IPOH, Perak FC Head Coach Yusri Che Lah hopes the import striker who is expected to arrive next week will strengthen the team’s front line by adapting quickly to their tactics before the Super League season starts in early May.

He said it was a challenge that the attacker has to overcome considering that there are less than three weeks left.

“So, I hope he (striker) can adapt immediately because that position is very important for the team and will be one of the deciding factors for the team’s performance,” he said when met at the Perak Stadium here, last night after the friendly match against Selangor FC.

Earlier, there were rumours that The Boss Gaurus would sign the Colombian-born striker Wilmar Jordan who is currently playing with Punjab FC in the Indian Super League.

The 33-year-old striker scored 97 goals and provided 22 assists during his 260 club appearances.

Commenting on the friendly action last night which saw Perak FC lose 2-3, Yusri admitted that there were still claring mistakes made by pl
ayers.

“The players need to maintain momentum and focus in the 90 minutes of the game. The matter is very important which determine the fate of the team,” he said.
