Perak Flood Victims Drop To Just Over 100

IPOH, The number of flood victims in Muallim district dropped slightly today to 107 people from 24 families currently housed at the Masjid Jamek Kampung Pasir temporary relief centre (PPS).

The State Disaster Management Committee Secretariat, in a statement, said the victims have been at the PPS since last Friday after floods hit Kampung Pasir.

Meanwhile, the Malaysian Meteorological Department forecasts good weather across all 12 districts in the state this afternoon and tonight.

The Perak Public Works Department reported that the Jalan Slim River-Behrang Ulu route A121 in Muallim district remains closed after the main road collapsed while only one lane of FT 004 Jalan Raya Timur Barat (JRTB) Kupang Gerik-Jeli is open following a landslide.

The statement said only one lane is open to all vehicles on FT 1152 at Felda Trolak Selatan in the Batang Padang district due to a landslide on the road shoulder.
