Perak achieved RM2 mln sales at MATTA Fair in Kuala Lumpur

Perak achieved sales totalling RM2 million from ticket sales of tourism products and hotel room bookings at the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents Exhibition (MATTA Fair) which took place in Kuala Lumpur, recently.

State Tourism, Industry, Investment and Corridor Development Committee chairman, Loh Sze Yee said the sales value clearly showed that Perak was one of the most popular exhibitors at the MATTA Fair.

“Tourism Perak has further diversified the public’s access to tourism products in the state by signing a memorandum of understanding with Tourplus Technology, which is an application that functions as a ‘booking engine’ which only focuses on tourism products in Perak.

“This platform offers a variety of service options including hotel reservations, public transport, spa massage vouchers, food and more,” he said in a statement today.

In the meantime, Loh said the state government is actively strengthening promotion and publicity work through Tourism Perak and plans to apply for special allocations from the state government to implement more projects in conjunction with Visit Perak Year 2024.
