Penang FC To Make Final Drastic Decision Soon

GEORGE TOWN, The management of Penang FC will make an important decision regarding the future of the state football team following the lacklustre performance shown by the Panthers in several Super League matches this season.

Penang FC’s management in a statement said the important and drastic decision will be announced after several aspects are finalised in the near future.

A Board of Directors meeting was held yesterday to discuss and make some decisions for the future of Penang FC.

“In the meeting, several important matters were discussed and considered to ensure that the interests of the team and supporters are prioritised.

“These decisions are specifically focused on strengthening the team’s performance and restoring the players’ and coaching staff’s commitment to excellence on and off the field,” according to the statement.

The management of Penang FC in the meantime thanked the support given by the fans even though the Penang FC football team recorded some less than satisfactory results.

Earlier,
the performance of the squad managed by head coach Akmal Rizal Ahmad Rakhli was seen to be suffering from poor performances when they won only two out of 12 matches with two consecutive defeats recorded against Kuala Lumpur City FC and Sri Pahang FC last Sunday.

Akmal Rizal previously said that he is leaving it entirely to the team management to decide on his fate and the team.
