Peladang Product Promotion Tour At Lotus’s Boosts Local Entrepreneurs

KUALA LUMPUR, The Peladang Product @ Lotus’s promotion tour, running from Oct 12 to Dec 29 across five states, will introduce Peladang-brand products to a wider market.

The Farmers’ Organisation Authority (LPP) said that the primary objective of this programme is to promote Peladang products, including Peladang Coffee (PO Coffee), while also introducing the Peladang Outlet (PO) brand to external markets.

‘Among the products available for purchase are dried and frozen Agro-based Industry (IAT) items, alongside fresh vegetables and fruits sourced from PO in each participating state. Additionally, there will be promotional combo products at special prices, such as vegetable and IAT combos,’ it said in a statement.

‘The nine-day programme will take place in Setia Alam, Selangor, from Oct 12 to 20; in Melaka City from Nov 9 to 17; in Manjung, Perak, from Nov 23 to Dec 1; in Sungai Petani, Kedah, from Dec 7 to 15; and in Tebrau, Johor, from Dec 21 to 29,’ it said.

Additionally, the LPP has established eight PO
Coffee outlets across the country, located at the Negeri Sembilan State Farmers’ Organisation (PPN); Area Farmers’ Organisation (PPK) Cameron Highlands in Pahang; PPK Changlun in Kedah; PPK Seri Pulau and PPK Pokok Sena in Penang; PPK Kuala Kangsar in Perak; PPK Rengit in Johor and PPN Melaka.

However, for this programme, the LPP will only involve five centrally managed PO cafes, spearheaded by the PPN Negeri Sembilan.

‘The purpose of establishing PO cafes is to enhance sales services, by offering coffee products which attract customers to make purchases on the premises of PO.

‘All PO Coffee outlets will use uniform branding, pricing, ingredients, packaging, equipment, and preparation techniques, all supplied by the PPN Negeri Sembilan,’ read the statement.

Meanwhile, dessert products served at the PO cafes will be provided by the PPK Cameron Highlands to complement sales.

Additionally, product-tasting sessions, featuring entrepreneurs, will be held throughout the programme, where each participating stat
e will prepare its entrepreneurs. Products sampled during these sessions will be available for purchase throughout the programme.
