Payment Counters for Rahmah Contributions Open Across Sarawak Until Late November.

KUCHING: The government, through the relevant agencies, has opened cash payment counters for the Rahmah Cash Contribution (STR) and the Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) at several locations across different divisions and zones in Sarawak. The Malaysian Treasury Sarawak in a statement said that the opening of these cash payment counters aims to facilitate eligible recipients who do not have bank accounts in rural areas of the state to receive their contributions.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, in the Southern Zone, which includes the divisions of Sri Aman, Betong, and Samarahan, the payment counters are located at the Sri Krian Community Hall (Oct 19 to 20), Simunjan Community Hall (Oct 19 to 20), Lingga District Office (Nov 23), the Sebuyau Fishermen’s Association Hall (Nov 23), and the Tebedu Community Hall (Nov 23-24).

For the Central Zone, which covers the divisions of Julau and Mukah, payment counters will be set up at the Dalat Unity Stadium on Nov 9, Daro Community Hall (Nov 9), Julau Community Hall (N
ov 16), and Laman Pakan near the Pakan Community Hall (Nov 16).

In the Northern Zone, encompassing the divisions of Bintulu and Miri, payment counters were opened at the Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bakong, Miri on Oct 26, Bekenu Community Hall (Oct 26-27), Kee Tee Chinese Primary School Hall in Long Lama (Oct 26-27), Lamin Adet Bangen Kimet Uma Baha Apau Koyan Hall in Sg Asap (Nov 2-3), Sekolah Kebangsaan Tatau Hall (Nov 2-3), and will open at Sebauh Village Hall on Nov 9.

The counters will be open from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm, except at the Lingga District Office, where the counters will be open only from 8.30 am to 2 pm. To ensure the smooth operation of the payment programme, recipients or registered next-of-kin are required to go on the specified dates to avoid congestion and are requested to bring their original identification documents, such as MyKad, MyKid, or birth certificates. Separate counters will be provided for recipients aged 60 and above.

If a recipient or registered next-of-kin is unable to go
to the payment location on the designated date, they may still collect their contributions at any nearby Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) branch before Dec 31.
