OVER US$100,000, SMARTPHONES AWAIT WINNERS IN ‘HONOR MAGIC MOMENTS’ AWARDS 2024


KUALA LUMPUR, A global leader in smartphone camera technology, HONOR is holding its fourth annual global mobile photography competition, The HONOR Magic Moments Awards.

HONOR in a statement today, stated that the competition was open from now until August 6.

‘Malaysian photography enthusiasts are invited to participate in the competition featuring six categories such as On the Way, We, Protection, The Moment, The Story and Video. There are a total of 59 prizes to entice participants,’ the statement said.

Furthermore, the statement added that all categories encourage photographers using their HONOR smartphones to harness the power of technology to capture authentic human stories and emotions across different themes, and the Protection category welcomes entries to document human efforts towards a sustainable future.

According to HONOR, Malaysian participants will stand a chance to win the Photographer of the Year with a RM10,000 cash prize, while two winners of the Master of Photography Award will be awa
rded RM5,000 each.

‘Three winners from the Prestigious Photographer Award will bring home an HONOR Magic6 Pro, while 10 HONORable Photographer Award winners get the latest HONOR Number Series smartphone.

‘In addition, participants also stand the chance to win a prize pool exceeding US$100,000, including US$15,000 for Photographer of the Year. Winners will be announced this September,’ the company said.

HONOR Chief Executive Officer George Zhao said since the first edition three years ago, the HONOR Magic Moments Awards has received over a million submissions from 51 countries and regions, with a total of 320,000 participants across the globe.

The HONOR Magic Moments Awards were established in 2021 to serve as a global platform for mobile photography exchange, inspire users to showcase their creativity, and provide an equal platform for everyone from professional photographers to everyday smartphone users,’ he said in the same statement.
