SEREMBAN: More than 6,500 job-seekers in Negeri Sembilan have secured employment through a career carnival organised by the Social Security Organisation (Socso) in collaboration with various agencies as of Oct 15. State Entrepreneurship, Human Resource, Climate Change, Cooperatives, and Consumer Affairs Action Committee chairman S. According to BERNAMA News Agency, Veerapan highlighted ongoing challenges such as enhancing training quality and aligning skills with industry requirements. He stressed the importance of continued strategic collaboration between the government, educational institutions, and the private sector to expand job opportunities and provide more relevant training.

Veerapan stated that the state government plans to implement employability and skills training programmes, including Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), to meet current industry
needs. Enhancements in facilities and training tools at institutes are also on the agenda.

To further boost employability, Socso offers walk-in interview services at its state office and MYFutureJobs Satellite Centres, located at the Urban Transformation Centres and Community Centres in all districts.
