One PPS Closed In Perak, Number Of Victims In Pahang Drops To 1,795


KUALA LUMPUR, One temporary relief centre (PPS) in Perak was closed today, leaving 11 PPS still operational as of 8 pm, according to the National Disaster Command Centre disaster portal.

However, the portal said the number of flood victims in Perak rose to 1,441, compared to 1,407 this afternoon, as the PPS in Perak Tengah and Kuala Kangsar recorded more evacuees.

According to the Public Info Banjir website, the waters of Sungai Bidor in Hilir Perak, Sungai Kampar in Kampar and Sungai Rui in Hilir Perak have breached the warning level as of 8 pm.

In PAHANG, the number of victims at nine PPS dropped to 1,795 from 1,803 this afternoon.

The Public Info Banjir website said the waters of Sungai Semantan in Temerloh and Sungai Triang in Bera have risen above the warning level.

In KEDAH, only five PPS are still operational after two PPS in Kota Setar district were closed, which saw the number of evacuees dropping to 655 from 839 this afternoon.

In MELAKA, the number of flood victims has remained unchanged at
12 people in one PPS in Jasin district since 4 pm.
