Negeri Sembilan Builds 10 Baitul Rahmah Houses For Orang Asli – Aminuddin Harun


REMBAU, The Negeri Sembilan state government has built 10 Baitul Rahmah houses for needy Orang Asli in the state for the past four years, said Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun.

He said that the Baitul Rahmah project, a collaborative effort between the Negeri Sembilan Islamic Religious Council (MAINS) and the Negeri Sembilan Islamic Affairs Department (JHEAINS), would continue to assist eligible Orang Asli individuals, particularly the Muslim reverts.

‘We meet their basic needs under this initiative and provide them opportunities to build a brighter future through education, skills training, and religious guidance.

‘The Baitul Rahmah housing project is another proof of the state government’s commitment to prioritising the needs of the community through the relevant agencies,’ he said in his speech at the handover of the Baitul Rahmah house keys in Kampung Orang Asli Chembong, Rembau and the appointment of surau supervisors for Orang Asli villages across the state here today.

Twenty-three individual
s received their appointment letters as supervisors responsible for managing and planning religious activities at the surau in each Orang Asli village in the state.

‘Each supervisor has been trained with the appropriate skills using the best approaches to ensure that the Orang Asli community can work together to uphold the tenets of Islam in the surau that have been established in the villages,’ he added.

Meanwhile, single mother Nor Azizah Mustaffa, 32, one of the recipients of the Baitul Rahmah house, which cost approximately RM120,000, said she was deeply grateful to finally have her first home to live in with her three children.
