Missing septuagenarian found in weak condition

SEREMBAN, Feb 3 — An elderly woman who went missing while looking for her cow in an oil palm plantation near her house in Kampung Sega Tengah, Kuala Sawah, Rantau, on Sunday, was found in a weak state in a steep and swampy area near Ecopark Kuala Sawah, Rantau, here this morning.

Seremban district police chief ACP Nanda Maarof said the victim, A.Sivapaki, 74, was found safe by a team of police and residents after two K9 tracker dogs detected the victim around the area at 11.30 am.

“The search started at 9 am and the team was divided into seven groups. The search covered a seven-kilometre radius around Kampung Sega Tengah, Kampung Sega Hilir and Ecopark Kuala Sawah.

“During the search in the swampy and steep area near the Ecopark Kuala Sawah, the tracker dogs detected the victim,” he said in a statement today.

The victim was sent to the Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital in Seremban for further treatment.
