Mel Lopez Blvd. partially closed for 2-month drainage, repair works

MANILA: The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced the partial closure of Mel Lopez Boulevard or Radial Road 10 (R10) for various construction works starting Wednesday.

In an advisory, the DPWH North Manila District Engineering Office said the drainage construction would be conducted along the sidewalk of the road’s southbound lane near Pacheco Street in Manila and would take more than two months.

On the other hand, it added that reblocking works along the road would start at 11 p.m. on Friday.

The reblocking works will be conducted along the southbound lane with a total length of 403.40 linear meters from the Philippine Ports Authority’s Pacheco Gate to Moriones Gate and the northbound lane with a total length of 261.90 linear meters between Zaragosa Street and Pacheco Street.

The DPWH warned motorists of traffic slowdowns in the affected areas and advised them to use alternative routes.

The project is part of the DPWH-National Capital Region’s commitment to improving road safety and efficiency in Metro Manila.
