MAICSA APPOINTS DATUK AKBAR MOIDUNNY AS PRESIDENT


KUALA LUMPUR, The Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (MAICSA) has appointed Datuk Akbar Moidunny as its new president, succeeding Simon Yeoh.

As group chairman and chief executive officer of the MINC Group of Companies, Akbar has led the company in providing corporate secretarial and governance consultancy services to over 1,000 companies.

‘With over 37 years of professional experience, he has been involved in various aspects of secretarial assignments, including consultancy, restructuring, and due diligence for both multinational and local corporations,’ MAICSA said in a statement today.

In addition to his professional responsibilities, Akbar actively participates in forums on corporate legislation and serves as a mediator in corporate disputes.

He is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM) and the Disciplinary Committee of the Bar Council Malaysia.
