MACC TO SEEK REMAND ORDER FOR COUPLE WHO MISAPPROPRIATED DONATIONS

KUALA LUMPUR, The Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) will seek a remand order, to detain a husband and wife couple who are social media influencers, for misappropriating donations collected.

According to the source the application for remand order to detain the couple would be made at the Putrajaya Magistrate’s Court tomorrow morning.

Meanwhile, MACC Senior Investigations Director Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Hashim when contacted by Bernama confirmed the status of the case.

Earlier, a Facebook account holder had accused the couple of collecting donations for their own use.

The account holder also claimed that the social media personalities had even created a controversy about their own household situation to seek publicity and empathy of the people.
