Legitimacy Of Current Govt Already Proven Through Vote Of Confidence In Dewan Rakyat – Adam

KUALA LUMPUR, The establishment of the government today is clearly based on open negotiations which have been closely followed by all observers since the first day and its validity has also been proven through a vote of confidence in the Dewan Rakyat.

Angkatan Muda Keadilan chief Adam Adli Abd Halim said that if the opposition was still not convinced of the legitimacy, they can again propose a vote of no confidence in the government at the next Dewan Rakyat session just like what the Prime Minister had said and not just announce at the Dewan Pemuda or the Muktamar Session (PAS).

He was commenting on Ahmad Fadhli’s claim that all government parliamentarians were bound by an initial agreement when the confidence vote motion was brought to the Dewan Rakyat in Dec 2022.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim during his speech at the Keadilan gathering: ‘Suara Rakyat Suara Keramat’ here last night challenged the opposition to bring a motion for a vote of no confidence against him at the Dewan Rakyat session,
this October.

The PKR president said the opposition should follow the law and not just play with sentiments or cheer calls to urge him to ‘step down’ from that position.
