KWASN Grant Applications Open For 2025 – KBS

KUALA LUMPUR, The Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) says it will continue to provide grants through the National Sports Trust Fund (KWASN) for 2025.

The allocation to the trust fund will enable sports bodies to organise competitions to prepare their athletes for international tournaments.

KBS announced in a statement today that the KWASN grant application for the year 2025 will be opened tomorrow. The application is subject to the terms and conditions that have been set.

“The organisation of sports competitions as well as participation in sports tournaments abroad is based on the types of sports listed in the Sports Development Order (First Schedule Amendment) 2023, Sports Development Act 1997 [Act 576], which can be downloaded from the link https://tinyurl.com/AKTA576

“Compliance with Act 576 is mandatory, especially sections 33 and 34 related to the organisation of international sports events when applying for a KWASN grant,” said the statement.

KBS said the public can visit the KBS portal at https://
