KPLB USANITA channel to help revive rural women business

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 7 — The USANITA Programme on Branding and Digitisation with the Rural Development Ministry (KPLB) has become an additional channel to revive the business of rural women entrepreneurs affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Its minister, Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid in a statement said the programme is a special platform provided to assist rural women entrepreneurs, especially in the B40 to keep abreast with the current digital based-business.

“Rural entrepreneurs should take advantage of the opportunity to market digitally and not to be left behind in expanding their markets.

Earlier, KPLB introduced the DesaMall@KPLB programme to help rural entrepreneurs market their products online to empower the business group.

The initiative is an Economic Development Driving Entrepreneurship via the Product Development and Market Expansion policy Including Online Business Marketing under Thrust 2 of the Rural Development Policy (DPLB).
