KPJ Seremban Installs Giant Jalur Gemilang To Foster Patriotic Spirit


SEREMBAN, The KPJ Seremban Specialist Hospital here has installed a giant Jalur Gemilang, weighing 200 kilogrammes, in conjunction with National Day, to help foster the patriotic spirit among hospital residents and the public.

Its chief executive officer, Nor Aidil Ikram Muhamad described the installation of the 170×54 feet (51.8×16.5 metres) flag as the largest in Negeri Sembilan and will remain hoisted until Sept 30.

“This giant flag not only symbolises national identity and spirit but also reflects our dedication in instilling love and pride for the country. It is the first to be installed of this size at KPJ Seremban,’ he said in a statement here.

Meanwhile, in GEORGE TOWN, police will deploy 345 police officers and members throughout the 67th National Day parade and celebration in Penang from tomorrow (Aug 29) to Saturday (Aug 31) at Padang Kota Lama here to maintain safety and smooth traffic flow.

North East District police chief ACP Razlam Ab Hamid said the police will station officers and members
in several locations for the full rehearsal tomorrow, performance rehearsal on Friday and 67th National Day celebrations on Saturday.

He also said throughout the three-day period, some of the roads involved will be closed in stages to launch the National Day parade and celebration.

These roads involve Jalan Tun Syed Sheh Barakbah, Lebuh Light, Pengkalan Weld and Lebuh Pantai which will be completely closed to traffic from 12.01 am (tomorrow) until noon or when the ceremony is over.
