Kelantan Thanks Federal Govt Following PM’s Announcements


KOTA BHARU, The Kelantan government has thanked the federal government following several announcements made by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim during his visit to the state yesterday.

Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud said the state government remains committed to practising a mature and prosperous political culture.

‘We are always open to collaborations that benefit this state, regardless of political differences, as long as they align with the principle of Membangun Bersama Islam, which is the foundation of the state administration.

‘The Kelantan government welcomes several announcements made by the prime minister, including the commitment to continue implementing flood mitigation projects, providing clean water supply and addressing water supply issues for padi farmers,’ he said in a post on Facebook.

Mohd Nassuruddin is also thankful that the federal government would bear the costs of the Yayasan Sultan Kelantan Darul Naim dialysis centre project amounting to RM8 million, in addition
to upgrading the Siti Khadijah Market in Kota Bharu with an allocation of RM5.5 million.

‘The spirit of federalism must always be upheld to ensure that the welfare of the people remains a priority, and this is the key to development,’ he added.

Anwar’s visit to Kelantan coincided with the conferment of a state award from the Sultan of Kelantan, Sultan Muhammad V.
