malaysiangKOTA BHARU, The Kelantan government is organising a National Unity TikTok video contest themed ‘Kelantan, Model of Unity’ (Kelantan Model Perpaduan) offering cash prizes of RM10,000 for first place, RM5,000 for second place, and RM3,000 for third.
State Youth, Sports, Non-governmental Organisation (NGO) and Community Unity Committee chairman Zamakhshari Muhamad said the competition began on Aug 31 and will run until Oct 12, in conjunction with the National Unity Carnival which will take place on Oct 19.
“This programme will be officiated by Kelantan Menteri Besar, Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud who will present prizes to the winners.
“To participate in the TikTok video contest, participants must upload a video lasting three to five minutes showcasing elements of unity and harmony in Kelantan, such as language, culture, food, religious harmony, and inter-ethnic neighbourhood elements,” he said in a statement today.
Zamakhshari added that participants must upload their videos to their TikTok accounts with the
hashtags #PerpaduanKelantan2024, #AmboOreKlate and #KelantanModelPerpaduan.
He said the public, especially youths who are interested in joining the contest, must submit creative short videos highlighting the uniqueness and diversity of unity in Kelantan, which is an attraction and cultural heritage of the state, through the TikTok platform.
“The judging criteria will include the number of shares on TikTok, video quality, creativity and originality, as well as the delivery of the message of unity in Kelantan. The videos produced must also be original and not violate any copyright,” he said.
