Informative, interactive approach to draw visitors to JAKM Melaka

MELAKA,  Oct 11 (Bernama) — The informative and interactive approach is expected to attract more visitors to the Melaka Keluarga Malaysia Aspirations Tour (JAKM) which will be held from Oct 14 to 16 at Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC).

Social Welfare Department deputy director-general (Strategy) Rosmahwati Ishak said the concept was in line with JAKM’s objective to make it easier for the people in Melaka to get direct information on assistance and plans offered by the government.

“The Women, Family and Community Development Ministry, which is leading JAKM this time, wants a programme that is close to the hearts of the community.

“So with the combination of elements of caring, social and economic well-being and using an interactive and informative approach will help and facilitate the community to get the information they need throughout the three days,” she said appearing as a guest on the ‘Apa khabar Malaysia’ programme on Bernama TV this morning.

She said that among the services offered during the tour which starts from 9 am to 9 pm are registration and review of assistance, registration of the disabled, registration of Waja Volunteers, Keluarga Malaysia Employment Guarantee Career Carnival, Malaysian Family Sales and a psychological support counter for parents and teenagers.

Melaka is the 10th location of JAKM which was previously held in Selangor, Terengganu, Sabah, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah and Kelantan.
