Francesco Bagnaia Clinches Victory at 2024 Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix.


SEPANG: Following are the results of the MotoGP class at the 2024 Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix at the Sepang International Circuit here, today: Francesco Bagnaia from the Ducati Lenovo Team emerged victorious, clocking in at 38 minutes 04.563 seconds. His teammate, Enea Bastianini, secured the third position with a time of 10.484 seconds behind Bagnaia, showcasing Ducati’s strong performance at the event.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Jorge Martin of Prima Pramac Racing clinched the second position, trailing Bagnaia by 3.141 seconds. The race saw fierce competition with Alex Marquez of Gresini Racing MotoGP and Pedro Acosta of Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 securing fourth and fifth places respectively.

Fabio Quartararo, representing Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP, finished in sixth place, 16.245 seconds behind the leader. The race was marked by notable performances from Maverick Vinales of Aprilia Racing and Alex Rins, also from Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP, who finished in seventh and eighth places respective
ly.

The top ten were rounded out by Marco Bezzecchi from Mooney VR46 Racing Team and Augusto Fernandez of Red Bull GASGAS Tech3. Johann Zarco from Prima Pramac Racing and Marc Marquez from Repsol Honda Team finished within the top twelve, with Marquez trailing by 27.276 seconds.

Other significant finishers included Aleix Espargaro, Franco Morbidelli, and Luca Marini. Meanwhile, Raul Fernandez and Andrea Iannone completed the race despite trailing behind the frontrunners. Notably, Lorenzo Savadori concluded the classified finishers.

The race witnessed the early exit of Takaaki Nakagami and Joan Mir, who were unable to complete the full race, while Brad Binder and Jack Miller from Red Bull KTM Factory Racing did not start.
