ESPORTS: MLBB SIDE HOMEBOIS OUT TO DO BETTER IN SAUDI ARABIA


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB) team,HomeBois are determined to make a significant impact after having qualified for the 2024 Mid-Season Cup (MSC) group stage in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

HomeBois coach Khairul Azman Mohd Sharif said that the team are well-prepared for the tournament and aim to perform strongly after failing to qualify for the group stage in the previous edition.

‘All of us in the team want to be champions. In the last MSC, We did not have the chance to go to the group stage, but now that we have, we want to do better.

“This time, we are addressing our previous problems by getting some help from our imports and we are ready to improve,’ he said in a statement today.

HomeBois secured tickets to the group stage after emerging victorious in the seven-team wild card stage of MSC 2024 held in Riyadh, over the weekend.

HomeBois successfully edged Entity7 team 3-1 in a gruelling best-of-five match in the finals yesterday to clinch the single wild card ticket on stake.

HomeB
ois will compete in Group C alongside Liquid ECHO from the Philippines, Team Spirit (Commonwealth of Independent States), and Twisted Minds (Saudi Arabia).

Another Malaysian team, Selangor Red Giants (SRG) also qualified and will compete in Group B alongside Team Falcons (Saudi Arabia), Fnatic ONIC (Indonesia), and See You Soon (Cambodia).

According to the tournament format, each group will play a single round-robin best-of-two matches in the group stage, with the top two advancing to the knockout stage.
