ANKARA: Dutch sprinter Femke Bol broke the world indoor 400-meter record with a time of 49.24 seconds on Sunday.

The 23-year-old Bol, improved her record at the Dutch Indoor Championships in Apeldoorn to retain the title on home soil.

“It’s a dream come true to run another world record and it’s wonderful to have all these Dutch fans enjoying the most beautiful sport in the world,” she said.
