CSC seeks feedback for 11 ‘Dangal ng Bayan’ semifinalists


MANILA: The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has announced the 11 semifinalists for the 2024 Search for Outstanding Public Officials and Employees (Dangal ng Bayan Award).

In line with this, the CSC is encouraging the public to participate in the evaluation process by providing feedback on the nominees, whether positive or negative, until Aug. 16.

‘While we have concluded the call for feedback for the Presidential Lingkod Bayan and CSC Pagasa awards of the 2024 Search for Outstanding Government Workers, we still need your participation in ensuring that we choose the best Dangal ng Bayan candidates,’ CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles said in a news release.

He said the nominees have consistently displayed exemplary and ethical behavior in the face of risk or temptation inherent in their work and will stand as exemplary role models for all civil servants.

The Dangal ng Bayan Award is conferred for the performance of an extraordinary act or public service and consistent demonstration of exemplary ethical behavior
as outlined in Republic Act (RA) No. 6713 or the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees.

Under RA No. 6713, the eight norms of conduct are commitment to public interest, professionalism, justness and sincerity, political neutrality, responsiveness to the public, nationalism and patriotism, commitment to democracy, and simple living.

The 11 semifinalists for the Dangal ng Bayan Award are:

— Reymaximiano Quita Aquino, Nursing Attendant II, Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center, Baguio City;

— Daryl Berdin Arguelles, School Principal II, Department of Education (DepEd) – Schools Division Office of Antique, Bugasong, Antique;

— Michael Ike Macariola Bertulfo, Administrative Aide V (Plumber II), Local Government Unit (LGU) of Macrohon, Macrohon, Southern Leyte;

— Jimmy Awisan Billod, Medical Specialist III, Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center, Baguio City;

— Florentino Nool Dela Cruz Jr., Administrative Aide III (Utility Worker II), Baguio City Public Libra
ry, Baguio City LGU, Baguio City;

— Donna Lyn Matamorosa Geronimo, Teacher III, DepEd – Schools Division Office of Naga City, Camarines Sur National High School, Naga City;

— Erly Rose Leyesa Guzman, Administrative Aide VI (Clerk III), Marowoy, Lipa City, Batangas;

— Rick Olino Habana, Administrative Aide I, DepEd, Cabcab Central Elementary School, San Andres, Catanduanes;

— Dyecebel Alvaira Pangaldin, Master Teacher I, DepEd – Schools Division Office of Sarangani, Alabel, Sarangani;

— Shirley Mas Siozon, Associate Professor II, Eastern Visayas State University, Tacloban City, Leyte;

— Victor Ma. Regis Nubla Sotto, City Mayor, Pasig City Government, Pasig City
