Celebrate Deepavali With Joy And Family Togetherness – Ramanan

PUTRAJAYA, Deputy Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan expressed hope that this year’s Deepavali celebrations will be filled with joy and cherished family moments.

The Member of Parliament for Sungai Buloh also encouraged the public to return to their villages and hometowns to celebrate Deepavali with family, relatives, and close friends.

‘When we return to our hometowns, we will be with our parents and family members. Let us ensure that we engage in activities that foster joy and a familial atmosphere. May this serve as an example for every festive season,’ he told Bernama recently.

Ramanan further advised the public to remain vigilant on the roads, and to prioritise safety wherever they go.

‘My advice to all Malaysians is to exercise caution while travelling back to their villages. Safety and health should always be our top priorities,’ he emphasised.

He invited the public to attend the Sungai Buloh Parliamentary Deepavali Open House, organised by the Sungai Buloh Pa
rliamentary Service Centre, in collaboration with Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM), scheduled for Nov 10, from 10 am to 2 pm.

During the open house, visitors will have the chance to indulge in a variety of food and beverages, prepared by local traders, at stalls throughout Sungai Buloh.

‘While residents of Sungai Buloh may already be familiar with the diverse array of culinary delights offered in the area, this open house presents an excellent opportunity for those from outside the region to savour the specialities crafted by our talented local vendors,’ Ramanan remarked.

‘Among the delicious dishes which will be available are satay, laksa and ayam gepuk, as well as traditional foods representing various cultures,’ he added, noting that the event aims to attract approximately 4,000 attendees.
