Call For Malaysian Companies To Submit Green Proposals In Taiwan Global Campaign

KUALA LUMPUR, The Taiwan Trade Center is calling on Malaysian companies and organisations to showcase their creativity and actively submit proposals to promote innovative green products and solutions from Taiwan before Aug 31 for a chance to win US$20,000.

According to a statement issued today, the ‘Go Green With Taiwan’ global proposal campaign has received enthusiastic responses since its launch in mid-June.

The statement said the campaign is a global initiative organised by Taiwan’s International Trade Administration and executed by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA).

‘Participants are required to develop economically and environmentally sustainable proposals that incorporate Taiwanese green products and solutions.

‘The competition is open to members of research institutions, NGOs, public associations, colleges and universities, corporations, and college students,’ it said.

The statement said proposals will be judged on four major metrics of sustainability, feasibility, innovation and
connectivity with six teams will be selected to participate in the finals in December, and the three best proposals will each receive a prize of US$20,000.

The Taiwan Trade Center also highlighted that Taiwan’s green industry boasts advanced technology, robust software and hardware frameworks, a comprehensive research and development environment, and high-quality talents.

‘Taiwan has proven itself as an indispensable partner in the global push for green energy and sustainable development.

‘On the other hand, Malaysia has long blossomed under its diversity and many companies and associations have inquired about the competition and suggested ideas involving sustainable solutions in agriculture, environmental protection, biodegradable products, green buildings and more,’ the statement said.
