All systems go for ‘NPC Concert for a Cause’ on Feb. 25


MANILA: The National Press Club (NPC) of the Philippines is set to hold a ‘Concert for a Cause: Harana ng Pagibig’ on Feb. 25 at the NPC Grounds, Magallanes Drive, Intramuros, Manila.

‘This much-anticipated event aims to raise funds for the renovation of NPC facilities, including the elevator, and other programs of activities of the club for media practitioners, as well as their families, who tirelessly work to keep the public informed and educated as part of their continuing commitment and service to the nation and the media industry,’ NPC president Lydia Bueno in a news release on Friday.

Among the featured artists in the 8 p.m. event are the legendary Marco Sison, the soulful Laarni Lozada, and the dynamic band Jeremiah.

Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) chief Arnell Ignacio will host the event.

Among the major sponsors of the event are the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, Presidential Communication Office and Maynilad.
