Alam Flora Unveils New Machinery, Uniforms, Recyclink App To Boost Solid Waste Management

PUTRAJAYA, Alam Flora Sdn Bhd (Alam Flora) has unveiled a fresh new look as it strives to raise the standard of solid waste management services and professionalism in Malaysia with the introduction of new machinery, uniforms, and the Recyclink Super-App.

The subsidiary of Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff) launched three new initiatives today to further improve operational efficiency, strengthen safety measures, integrate advanced technology, and foster sustainable practices in its service delivery.

Alam Flora acting chief executive officer Badrulhisyam Fauzi said the three new initiatives would enhance Alam Flora’s operational efficiency, thereby promoting environmental sustainability across all aspects of its operations.

He said that Alam Flora had allocated RM160 million for 305 new machines equipped with the latest technology, which adhered to global environmental standards, including new-generation engines designed to reduce harmful gas emissions.

‘So for us, this is our commitment to investing
in modern machinery to make sure that we are able to do the work in the most efficient way.

‘A total of 305 units are for our three concession areas, which are Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Pahang. This demonstrates our ongoing commitment to invest so that we are able to provide better services,’ he told a press conference after the launch of Alam Flora’s new look by chairman Tan Sri Abu Kassim Mohamed here today.

Also present was Malakoff executive vice chairman Tan Sri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh.

Badrulhisyam said the introduction of new uniforms demonstrated Alam Flora’s commitment to enhancing safety and professionalism among workers in 3D (dirty, dangerous and difficult) jobs.

‘Designed with upgraded safety features, these uniforms will help workers perform their duties more safely and effectively.

‘This new uniform represents our commitment to honouring our colleagues as ‘unsung heroes’ and reflects our appreciation for their dedication to keeping our communities clean and safe,’ he said.

Meanwhile, Bad
rulhisyam stated that the introduction of the Recyclink application was one of the innovative steps towards digitisation in recycling activities and promoting environmental sustainability.

‘This application will enhance interaction with online customers and simplify recycling activities by allowing transactions without cash and offering reward points. It will also help reduce the consumption of paper,’ he said.

Abu Kassim stated that Alam Flora was taking proactive steps with its new look transformation to enhance its solid waste management and environmental management solutions, making them more comprehensive, efficient, and on par with international standards.

‘This transformation not only benefits the public by improving service quality, but also supports the environment through the use of new solid waste management machinery equipped with more environmentally friendly engines,’ he said.
