MANILA: Employees of the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) could soon avail of a 50 percent discount on their point-to-point (P2P) bus fare.
Ube Express Inc., in a letter to the MIAA and shared with reporters on Thursday, stated the mechanics to avail of the discount.
A non-transferable QR code shall be downloaded upon registration to the link: www.ubeexpress.com/miaa/registration.
Registered passengers are subject to approval by MIAA authorities. After approval, the QR code shall be placed near or on their IDs.
The code will be subject to verification upon boarding the P2P bus. The 50 percent fare slash, however, is only applicable via beep card transactions. Regular fares will apply for those who will pay in cash.
Government-mandated discounts and other Ube Express promotions will be unavailable if the 50 percent discount has been applied, according to the mechanics.

Meanwhile, in the same letter signed by Ube Express Inc. President Garrie David and addressed to Ines, the former reaffirmed the firm’s desire to serve more passengers.
“Inquiries for additional routes are evident with the request for P2P services to Quezon City, Cavite, and additional routes for Laguna,” David said.
He sought the MIAA official’s support to enable them to offer more destinations, targeting Imus City, UP Town, Robinson’s Magnolia and Ayala Mall in Quezon City.
