Ahmad Husaini Appointed New Parliament Chief Administrator


KUALA LUMPUR, Datuk Ahmad Husaini Abdul Rahman has been appointed the new chief administrator of the Malaysian Parliament effective today (Aug 19).

According to a statement issued today by the Corporate Communications Division of the Malaysian Parliament, Ahmad Husaini is replacing Datuk Muhamad Zamani Mohd Ali, who has been transferred to the Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) of the Prime Minister’s Department effective today too.

Ahmad Husaini, who hails from Bota, Perak, graduated with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (Honours) from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM).

He began his career in the public service on April 24, 2000 and has served in the Defence Ministry, Home Affairs Ministry as well as Department of Public Service and National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA).

He was appointed Solid Waste Management and Public Cleansing Corporation (SWCorp) chief executive officer on Oct 4, 2023.

e, knowledge and credibility, it is believed that he will be able to shoulder the responsibility of continuing to develop the Malaysian Parliament as an effective, responsible and transparent legislative institution at all levels.

“All members of the Malaysian Parliament extend their congratulations to Datuk Ahmad Husaini Abdul Rahman on this appointment, as well as express their deepest appreciation to Datuk Muhamad Zamani Mohd Ali for his service and dedication throughout his tenure,” according to the statement.
