53 Beneficiaries Receive RM636,000 From TH Khairat Plan

KUALA LUMPUR, One year after its launch, the affordable TH Khairat takaful protection plan offered by Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) has successfully assisted 53 beneficiaries, with claims amounting to RM636,000.

To date, the appointed takaful operators, Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Keluarga Berhad (Takaful Malaysia) and Hong Leong MSIG Takaful Berhad (HLM Takaful), have recorded over 302,000 registrations for TH Khairat.

TH group managing director and chief executive officer Syed Hamadah Syed Othman expressed hope that the TH Khairat claims paid to beneficiaries would provide essential support during challenging times.

‘The handover of TH Khairat claims from the takaful operators to TH in this event symbolises TH’s commitment, alongside Takaful Malaysia and HLM Takaful, to ensure that all eligible claims are processed swiftly and distributed to beneficiaries witho
ut delay,’ he said in a statement today.

The statement was issued in conjunction with the symbolic presentation of TH Khairat claims at Menara TH Tun Razak yesterday.

In the same statement, Takaful Malaysia group chief executive officer Nor Azman Zainal said that their collaboration with TH to offer TH Khairat demonstrates their commitment to providing affordable takaful coverage to TH depositors.

‘We are committed to delivering excellent services to TH Khairat clients by ensuring a smooth claim process to help beneficiaries or their families manage their financial needs and livelihood,’ he said.

Meanwhile, HLM Takaful chief executive officer Mohd Asri Omar expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response from over 100,000 TH depositors in the first year of the product’s launch.
