37 people still at PPS in Segamat

JOHOR BAHRU, Jan 18 — Thirty-seven people from eight families are still at a relief centre (PPS) in Segamat as at 8 am today as the flood water at their homes has yet to recede.

Johor Health and Environment Committee chairman R.Vidyananthan said thye flood victims, who are from Kampung Kebangsaan Gemereh, were being accommodated at the PPS at Sekolah Agama Gemereh.

On the weather this morning, it is cloudy in Mersing, while in other districts, it is reported to be fine.

Meanwhile, only Sungai Bekok at Bekok Dam, Batu Pahat recorded a reading at the alert level of 16.3 metres.
