Yayasan Petronas Channels Deepavali Aid To Over 1,000 Families


KOTA BHARU, Yayasan Petronas, in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department (JKM), has distributed Deepavali aid to 1,600 families across 11 states, totalling RM320,000.

Petronas East Coast general manager Mohammad Ahmad Shazly Ramli said the festive aid is part of their focus on community well-being and development, which aims to improve the living standards of underprivileged communities.

He said Yayasan Petronas seeks to deliver a long-term impact through such programmes with the community, bringing joy to those celebrating.

“In Kelantan alone, 50 families from three districts, Kota Bharu, Tanah Merah, and Kuala Krai, have been identified to receive contributions that include essential food items and festive treats like murukku.

“Therefore, we hope that the distribution of essential food items and festive food such as cooking oil, basmati rice, flour, dhal and murukku hampers will bring more joy to all recipients during this festive season,” he said during the Yayasan PETRONAS Memacu Kehidupan: D
