Yayasan Hasanah contributes RM100,000 for post-flood recovery in Johor, Selangor

KUALA LUMPUR, March 3 — Yayasan Hasanah (YH), an entity belonging to Khazanah Nasional Berhad (Khazanah), has allocated RM100,000 in an effort to help victims in the post-flood recovery phase in Johor and Selangor.

According to a statement today, it said that through the assistance, a total of 700 flood victims have received initial aid comprising food packs while 80 families in Johor received basic necessities that were distributed with the cooperation of Yayasan Ikhlas.

Yayasan Hasanah also distributed household items like cooking utensils, refrigerators and washing machines to 130 families in Hulu Langat, Selangor.

The assistance was handed over by Yayasan Ikhlas chairman Prof Dr Zainur Rashid Zainuddin on behalf of Yayasan Hasanah.

According to Zainur Rashid, the contributions by Yayasan Hasanah were distributed to 1,890 individuals, involving not just flood victims but also those who are struggling to make ends meet, including due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the meantime, he expressed his gratitude for all the contributions received, including from Yayasan Hasanah, to help those in need.
